by Jac Fossett and Rod Cullen

Jac Fossett is Student Peer to Peer Support Manager in the Inclusion and Pastoral Services team. Jac works closely with academic departments across the university to recruit and place current students to provide advice and guidance in support of both new students and those who have been here for longer.
Dr Rod Cullen is Reader in Digital Education based in the Digital Education Team, Principal Fellow of AdvanceHE and a Lead Innovation Scholar.

In this video podcast series, Rod talks with colleagues across Manchester Met about how they are implementing the DELTA strategy in their teaching. Each episode features a conversation about flexible active learning in practice, covering what works, what’s challenging, and how digital tools can help students balance their studies with their lives outside university.

Jac Fossett and Rod Cullen discuss the developing digital support role of the Manchester Met peer guides scheme. Jac explains the origins and scope of the peer guides scheme and together they explore specific examples where the peer guides are increasingly supporting digital aspects of the student learning experience relevant to the DELTA strategy, including the Manchester Met Hyflex pilot project.
