AGCAS Award Showcase
by Lisa Law and Lindsay Halliday
Lisa Law and Lindsay Halliday (Lead Innovation Scholars)
A new set of awards launched in 2025 by AGCAS (Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services) to celebrate excellence in learning and teaching practice related to employability and Graduate Outcomes.
The awards enable sector recognition across multiple themes, including authentic assessment, employer and community partnerships, inclusivity, the use of technology and more. AGCAS works in partnership with Universities UK, GuildHE, the Institute of Student Employers, and relevant sponsors to surface innovative, impactful work across Higher Education Institutions.
In 2025, Manchester Met staff were shortlisted in 6 out of 10 categories, including the University of the Year category: an impressive achievement given that there were over 250 submissions representing 90 HEIs.
Innovation Scholars, Lisa Law and Lindsay Halliday, together with Karen Butterworth from Careers and Employability Services oversaw the awards and provided feedback to those submitting. Lisa and Lindsay have curated the submissions for this collection to create a legacy from this inspiring work, and to support further surfacing of good practice at Mcr Met.
We are sure you will find this collection interesting and informative. Thank you to all those who are featuring their work within it.
