Navigating university life can be both exciting and overwhelming, especially when financial pressures add to the academic demands students face. As a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance and Level 4 Year Tutor, I’ve witnessed firsthand how financial stress can impact student wellbeing, engagement, and academic success. Motivated by these observations and informed by my recent Associate Innovation Scholarship, I am developing a Financial Literacy Toolkit tailored specifically for HE students. This initiative aims to equip learners with the essential knowledge and practical tools to manage their finances confidently and sustainably. Designed with inclusivity and accessibility in mind, the toolkit can support students across all faculties and levels. As you explore the poster, look out for key statistics highlighting the urgency of this issue, the structure and delivery of the toolkit, and how it aims to support students in making informed financial decisions.
